Why this matters

For older adults, vision is more than seeing clearly.

Good vision keeps older adults independent, safe and connected. But conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration often appear gradually, without early symptoms — and getting to a clinic isn't always realistic. Coming to the patient, at home or in their facility, makes regular eye care possible again.

How a visit works

Simple to arrange. Easy on the day.

From the first phone call to the follow-up report, we keep things straightforward — for residents, for families, and for facility staff.

We confirm a time

We work with facility coordinators or family members to find a time that works around routines, meals and rest.

A full examination with portable equipment — usually 20 to 30 minutes, in a room that's familiar and quiet.

4

Reports & follow-up

Written summary sent to the GP and care team. Glasses or aids delivered. A future review is scheduled where needed.

OUR APPROACH

Eye care designed around the people we visit.

Two decades of in-home and aged care optometry has shaped how we work — slower, kinder, and more aware of what older patients actually need from a visit.
01

Care that comes to your loved one

In their room, lounge or facility — never a waiting room. We bring the clinic to a place that's already comfortable, which makes a real difference for people with mobility, hearing or memory needs.

02

Optometry shaped around older adults

Two decades of experience adapting eye examinations for people with limited mobility, dementia, hearing loss, or post-stroke recovery — at a pace that suits the person we're caring for.

03

Clear communication with families

Plain-language reports for guardians and care staff — what was identified, what was prescribed, and what to watch for. No jargon, no chasing, no surprises.

04

Equipment that travels with us

Portable diagnostic technology — handheld retinal imaging, portable tonometry, trial frames and a curated frame range — allow a thorough examination without specialist clinic furniture.

05

A clinical record you can rely on

Secure, time-stamped records for consent, exam findings and reports — handled in a way that meets aged care audit and Australian privacy expectations.

06

The same team, over time

Long-term relationships with the facilities and families we visit — so we know your or your parent's history, and care continues from one visit to the next.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Whether you're coordinating care for a facility or a parent — we'll guide you through it.
